RESTAURANTS WE ENJOY

There are many great restaurants in the Quad Cities. We have all the normal fast food restaurants, and many great sit down chain restaurants, but when you want something sit down, these are some of our favorite local places. Some are being chained, but retain their local flavor. I know I have probably missed some really good local places, but haven't found them yet. If I missed your's, Sorry!

Breakfast any time - VILLAGE INN & 5925 Brady - Davenport or 1919 N Harrison - 12th & State, Bettendorf - 2001 1st Ave or 2122 53rd in Moline.

Need a quick sandwich for lunch, PORKIES of Silvis, Illinois. 130 1st Ave.

For a dinner buffet, a reasonable steak, huge Salad Bar with desert - RYANS FAMILY STEAK HOUSE- 2215 E Kimberly, Davenport.

Like Chinese? Try a little of everything then go back for more at YEN CHING- 4711 Brady Street, Davenport or 4707 16th Street, just West of South Park in Moline.

How about a great steak or chop dinner? THE IOWA MACHINE SHED - The food is five star and the prices aren't bad either. 7250 N W Blvd., Davenport.

Anything anytime at APPLEBY'S - 3838 Elmore, Davenport or 3805 41st Ave. Dr., Moline. Like ribs? Try their special on Tuesday nights. They are wonderful.

For Special Occasions - THE CAPTAINS TABLE - 4801 River Drive, Moline. Great views, great food, a little pricey, but a special place for a special night.

View the river at THE DOCK - 125 S Perry, Davenport. Then after the great meal, walk along the river or visit the President River Boat.

Family eating, try HARLAN'S - West Kimberly road and Fairmount. Some of the best eating in the area.

A super buffet at a reasonable price is the LADY LUCK CASINO RESTAURANT - State Street Landing, Bettendorf.

Like German food and great breads? JUMERS CASTLE LODGE RESTAURANT - Spruce Hills Drive and Utica Ridge Road, Bettendorf. Just East of the I 74 bridge.

Want a great pizza? Try our local Harris Pizza, there has to be one near you. 3903 14th Ave, or 3817 14th Ave in Rock Island; 1601 W 3rd or 524 E Locust in Davenport; or 2520 18th St. in Bettendorf.

Great food, casual attire, I do mean casual! SNEAKY PETE'S COWBOY STEAKS, 207 N Cody - Le Claire, Iowa. Visit the antique shops or stroll along the river then stop in for a great dinner.
