Dear Agent:
If you have come this far, you have questions and I presume are looking for answers and perhaps a career change. RE/MAX is not for everyone. If you are doing a million or less and are happy with that, RE/MAX is not for you. If you have to be fed to do any business, RE/MAX is not for you. If you want a staff to do all your work, monitor your transactions and keep you set up, RE/MAX is not for you. RE/MAX is for agents who want the independence to run their own business, to manage and orchestrate their own business and want the Name recognition, tools and training to be the best they can be. In return for this dedication to excellence, they want to keep most of the commissions they earn and to maximize their income. If it was just about money, everyone in Real Estate would want to be at RE/MAX. However, money does not motivate me, and perhaps it does not motivate you either. I like the challenges. I guess that is why Cyndee and I opened up our own company. I also want to be the best I can be. You can see that from the designations I hold. Don't get me wrong, i like the money. It is better at RE/MAX than at any other company and the handcuffs are off, .
That said, RE/MAX is the best solution for agents that do 1.25 million or more in gross transaction sales. Agents that want to do more, learn more, and who want the freedom to run their own businesses. RE/MAX was founded 31 years ago and has grown each and every month for 378 consecutive months in associates, market share, offices and earnings. There are now over 90,000 RE/MAX agents and the average agent in the United States makes $123,255. In Iowa, the average earnings in commissions is $110,417 and in Illinois $118,328. On average, a two million dollar producer will make $9000 more at RE/MAX than a conventional company after all expenses are paid. Your expenses for the year are paid after that, so add another $30,000 for each million dollars in transactions you do over 2M. At 5M, you should be making an extra $99,000. At 1.25 million, you will break even in earnings with one of the traditional companies. If that is all you intend to make, that is your decision, and RE/MAX may not be for you. However, some agents do not want to break all the records. They want a life too! Some of these agents will join RE/MAX just for the educational programs, the mentoring, the newspaper, conventions and association with top agents. It is not all about the money. We also have a lot of fun, Circa 21, parties, picnics and more. RE/MAX is a family as well as an opportunity.
However, if you want more. More training, more opportunities, more freedom and more income, then take a look further. You control your expenses. There are no mandatory contributions for transactions, web, advertising. You choose what is best for your business. You control your business. We provide the tools, you pick and choose what you want to use of these tools. We do not tell you how to run your business. We are there to coach, answer questions, provide you with the best tools and then step aside and let you bloom. At RE/MAX You are in Business for Yourself, but not by Yourself. This makes RE/MAX agents better and more accountable to their clients. After all, they pay for service and we only get paid if we provide results and service.
